In 2238, life in America is finally perfect. The Wars are over and the CommWall is in place, blocking communication with what remains of other continents. The women are content to have great education, choice careers, and glamorous hair. Best of all, when every girl turns seventeen she’s given her Like; an adorable, perfect spouse tailor-made just for her.
Everyone looks forward to the day she gets her Like, and Morgan Waters is no exception—until she accidentally stays out past curfew and stumbles across someone who appears to be a Like but claims to be a man. Morgan’s perfect world crumbles down around her in the midst of a forbidden romance, forcing her to deal with the realization that her life may not be so flawless after all. |
Call me a hopeless romantic, I don't care. Flawless Ruins was freakin' fantastic. I look forward to seeing Nicolas tackle increasingly challenging themes as her writing continues to mature.

"In Flawless Ruins, the suspense is ramped up continuously and builds to a crescendo that left me frantically flipping the pages, wondering what will happen to Morgan and Neil."

"Flawless Ruins is a fantastic dystopian novel with a believable and substantial world. Nicolas takes a close look at how even good intentions can go terribly wrong.Through her strong characterization, readers will take away a powerful message: perfection cannot be manipulated and it is our flaws that make us individuals."

"Nicolas brings to life characters and a world unknown. She asks and answers the question: is perfect as perfect as it seems? Or is it just a flawless ruin?"

"Flawless Ruins is science fiction for people who don't read science fiction. With this book, Kieryn's second, she once again proves that age really is nothing but a number. A mix of dystopia, romance, and suspense, Flawless Ruins is wonderfully written and impossible to put down. A unique story written by an equally unique young writer."

The future - where the people who control information control everything.(Be nice to your librarian.) Luckily, Kieryn Nicolas has created a delightful group of teens who stick together, question everything and just want to be allowed to read Romeo and Juliet. Another fun adventure from a wonderful young author.

“With characters you can't help but love and a world that's beyond fascinating, Flawless Ruins is the dystopian novel for the non-dystopian reader.”

"MATCHED meets ROMEO AND JULIET in a richly imagined world which makes love seem impossible. Romantic, compelling, and impossible to put down."
